An excellent reminder for all of us, myself first and foremost. "God tests those He loves best." Subhan'Allah, something we should constantly telling ourselves during our hardships. "God does not place a burden on you more than you can bear." Indeed, when we say these words to ourselves in times of trouble it really gives us strength to get through it, masha'Allah. "Seek harmony from every single moment. Because God is always with you. He will never abandon you." Reminds me of the poem by Zain Bhikha "Allah Knows". Overall, very touching poem subhan'Allah. Very touching poem, MashaAllah. This is an excellent reminder to all of us to not lose strength when we are facing troubled times. I'll tell you about something that happened to me just recently. Friday morning: I went to my English tutorial, and we were supposed to get our marked essays back. I genuinely thought I had done an okay job (at the least a C) but when I got my paper bad I had done horrible. Like real horrible. I was crushed. Literally devastated. After I left that class, I went to math class at 1130 only to find the classroom empty - I thought maybe the prof cancelled (he does that sometimes). So I decided to go to the lab to work on other homework only to realise that there was lecture going on inside until 1230. So I killed time until 1220 ish and went back to the lab. Used my card to get in, only to find that the lecture going on was indeed for my class - I hadn't attended the previous lecture so didn't know today's lecture was in the lab. Absolutely devastated, I didn't have the guts to even sit in the lab to do my work. But I pulled myself together thinking the same thing sister Rabia mentioned in her post: "God tests those He loves best." MashaAllah this poem really touched me, there could be no other words to express myself. "God does not place a burden on you more than you can bear." Indeed, something we fail to recognize so many times. "Because God is always with you. He will never abandon you." SubhanAllah. You will think there is nothing in this world that can make things better, but Allah will always be with you. This reminds of a lesson one of our madressah teachers taught us - Allah tests those He loves the most. But He doesn't just test you and leave it at that - He will reward you for it as well. May Allah give us all the strength to get through the toughest of our times, Ameen. Allah reward you, dear sister Rabia for this excellent reminder. Ameen.
